The main objective of the study was to analyze the traditional knowledge in the work of midwives and healers, the remedies they use, and the importance of this practice for the local riverside community residentes. Regarding the methodological procedures, the study follows a qualitative approach, using field research, bibliographic readings, participant observation, field diaries, and semi-structured interviews. The research included a midwife who is also a community health agent, a healer, and five mothers who have used the services of midwives and healers. As results, significant records were identified of their work in saving lives, either through childbirth or healing various illnesses. We understand the need to cultivate this knowledge, as despite the great importance of midwives and healers for the community, it is essential to preserve this traditional wisdom, given that many aspects of it are disappearing from the local culture.Acesso AbertoSaberes PopularesParteirasBenzedeirasRibeirinhaAmazôniaTraditional KnowledgeMidwivesHealersRiversideAmazonCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::SOCIOLOGIA::SOCIOLOGIA DA SAUDEOs saberes populares das parteiras e benzedeiras de uma comunidade ribeirinha, na Amazônia ParaenseTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - MonografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
