Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9519This work analyzes the process of including students from special education in rural education, with the research site being the Municipal School Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro I and its affiliated schools, in Acará-PA. The research, with a qualitative approach, was based on literature about special education and rural education, having as central authors: Raimundo (2020); Caiado (2017); Brasil (2015), among others who provided relevant theoretical and documentary contributions. A field study was also conducted, using semi structured interviews and direct observation with teachers working in the area as instruments for data collection. The results reveal that, despite legal advances, difficulties persist related to school transportation, family acceptance of the child’s condition, articulation between regular classrooms and Specialized Educational Assistance (SEA), as well as limitations in infrastructure and teacher training. It was also observed that inequalities exist between the central school, which has a more structured environment for serving rural students, and the affiliated schools, which face shortages of resources, infrastructure, and teaching materials.
