However, in its useful life, a reduction in its resistance capacity can be manifested, due to the increase of loads that are not applied in the project and to the attacks of several deteriorating agents, making intervention with reinforcement techniques necessary. The application of natural fibers (lignocellulosic) as reinforcement in polymeric composite materials (FRP) has shown a technique on the rise, that is, because it is a biodegradable material and proven by a renewable source. Thus, the objective of this work was to produce polymeric compounds that use as a matrix of epoxy resin reinforced with sisal fibers for application as reinforcement of pieces of wood submitted to use exercises. With the aid of a tearing manual, two types of fabrics were made using sisal fibers, without treatment (in natura) and another with fibers treated in distilled water at 80 ° C for 1h, and oven dried. The specimens were made according to ABNT NBR 7190: 1997 and were reformed with resin and the fabrics used, after the curing period, they were subjected to destructive tests. The results obtained in tests on some properties of wood (Andiroba) reported records of literature and research produced by other authors. For tests of tests of reinforced specimens, these good results can estimate whether the proposed setbacks can add on average approximately 80% of the structure's resistance capacity. Observing the results found by the statistical tests, which show 95% confidence, that fiber treatment does not offer reinforcement resistance effect.
