Acesso em: .http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/1090The Chaval granite has been studied over the last decades as shown by several publications, which individually deal with different topics of their geology. From this finding came the idea of compiling some of these works with the objective of establishing the state of the art about the knowledge of this body to which new information was added from the analysis of remote sensing products. The bibliographical research to the most varied types of publications, from the internet, had as a tool the Adobe Reader software for the filtering of the works found. A contribution to improve the cartographic aspects of the body used the aerogammaspectrometry image analysis, unfortunately restricted, due to insufficient data, to the portion of the granite that occurs in Chaval Sheet. The Chaval granie is thus a rock that emerges mainly in the form of inselbergs, whose petrographic classification, situates it as granite, extending to the fields of monzogranite, syenite and metamonzogranite, with two main textures, igneous (to the west) and milonítica ( to the east). The Chaval is the result of the crystallization of a Neoproterozoic magma, which encloses a large population of zircons inherited from Paleo to Mesoproterozoic lithotypes, as well as records the influence of thermal event that led to the opening of the body mineral system in the Paleozoic. The spatial organization in which the body is established is that of the kinematics geometry of the Médio Coreaú dominion, marked by a configuration of rocks fans imbricated with vergence for the São Luis craton. The interpretations of data and information compiled in this paper reaffirm the observations presented in the studies already carried out. However, they suggest the possibility of a cartographic detailing, defining the spatiality of textures, tectonic structures, compositional differences and more prominent sites of influence of protoliths when the body's generating magma is formed, which can bring more robust contributions to the knowledge about the Chaval granite and its importance in the context of geo-tectonic evolution of the Médio Coreaú Domain.Acesso AbertoGranitoCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIAS::GEOLOGIAGeologia do Granito Chaval – Domínio Médio Coreaú: estado da arte sobre o conhecimentoTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
