In addition, it seeks to highlight how this growth occurred and the socio-environmental impacts generated by actions resulting from the urbanization process. The time frame of the analysis was defined between the years 1984 and 2024, a period that saw major changes in the area's urban landscape. Through geoprocessing techniques and tools, with the support of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), various impacts and transformations that occurred in the study area during this period were identified. Moreover, the unplanned urbanization process that took place in Icoaraci has resulted in several impacts on the population today.
