Acesso em:.http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/1594Through the analysis of meteorological elements collected at Comandante Ferraz Antarctic Station (EACF) in 1997 (El Niño) and 1999 (La Niña), we studied the behavior of themselves and their relationship with ENSO. In this work we used meteorological data from the Antarctic Program (PROANTAR), which is based on Antarctic Station Comandante Ferraz (EACF, Latitude 62 ° 05'S, Longitude 58 ° 23'W) which is a pole with lines of scientific research in more various branches of science, located in Antarctica. Were made hourly and monthly air temperature, soil temperature, atmospheric pressure, precipitation, relative humidity and wind speed, and made comparisons between the average years of study, with the measured data of 3 in 3 hours (UTC). The results are in from those found in the literature to study this type of area. Comparisons between means showed a significant increasing trend in most variables in the year of La Niña Air temperature and soil, wind speed and rainfall had significant increases.
