The main objective is to compare the readership profile at Fran Paxeco Library between the end of 19th century and the beginning of the 21st century. As specific objectives: a) to recognize the Fran Paxeco Library readership uniqueness from the end of 19th century and the first decades of 21st century; b) to identify these readership interest on the books collection keeping at Fran Paxeco Library. It adopts bibliographic and documentary research as a qualitative methodology approach. It verifies as results that at the end of the 19th century, the readership was formed by students who take classes as bookkeeping formation offered by Grêmio Literário e Recreativo Português. Otherwise, the readership during the first decades of 21st century was constituted almost entirely by professors and others researchers with different academic titles.
