Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/2797Civil construction has stood out since the beginning of civilization, but the activities employed in this sector use excessive consumption of natural resources and generate high amounts of diversified waste. In order to minimize environmental impacts and make homes selfsustainable, new techniques are being employed, among them the green roof stands out for being one of the ecological techniques indicated to minimize climate disturbances resulting from urbanization. In this aspect the main objective of this research is to evaluate the technical viability of an extensive green roof in the inclined system, using Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) in the draining layer, as a new option for reuse of this waste. For this, prototypes were produced in order to evaluate the performance of the green cover, after the evaluation of the characteristics of the CDW with the characterization tests, such as particle size distribution, specific mass, absorption and unit mass, analyzing the performance of this material as draining layer in the composition of the green roof prototype. The results obtained in the experimental procedure proved the efficiency of both the green roof acting as a thermal insulator, softening the temperature variations, and the CDW presenting a technological and ecological potential for use in the draining layer of the system, the added overload in the structure from the The implementation of the green roof to the roof, in its extreme condition (saturated), at the end of the prototype was 100.4 Kg / m², within the extensive system standards in relation to the pathologies of the green roof system employed was promising, since it did not changes were noted that could compromise system stability. Thus, the research represented alternatives that contribute to sustainability in construction, aiming to minimize negative impacts caused by the sudden growth of the city of Tucuruí - PA, in addition to encouraging sustainability in the region.
