To achieve this, the learning curve and the evolution of productivity indices throughout the development of activities will be assessed. These indices were obtained through on-site data collection of the productive hours of each team. The learning effect is characterized by the reduction of resources required for an activity as a function of the number of times it is performed. This phenomenon typically results from work specialization, in which the same process is repeatedly executed by the same individual or group. The high number of repetitions allows the worker to become more familiar with the task, thus avoiding the waste of material and human resources due to a lack of knowledge about the production process. In the context of civil construction, this effect is noticeable in projects with a well-defined basic unit of repetition, such as houses in horizontal residential developments, typical floors in towers, as in this study, or infrastructure projects. The methodology was based on collecting productivity index values throughout the executed floors for the observed services, followed by an evaluation of the variations in these indices and the construction of learning curves through statistical regression. In the end, a significant improvement was observed in the productivity of the internal cladding teams, with average productivity gains of 30% to 50%. Furthermore, the study included a practical application of learning curves in executive budgeting, resulting in a 14.09% cost reduction. For external cladding, however, it was not possible to observe homogeneous behavior across the service as a whole.
