Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8435As one of the great challenges to be overcome in school education is the teaching and learning of Mathematics, this Conclusion of the Course (TCC) discusses "Use of texts in the teaching of Mathematics: an interdisciplinary approach", whose Inquiry: How is it evident the use of texts in Mathematics classes in the 3rd year of High School, in the conception of teachers of this discipline? This study aimed to analyze the use of texts in Mathematics classes in the 3rd year of High School, based on reports from two teachers from the Maracanã / PA state education network. The study developed from a field research with a qualitative exploratory approach, whose relevance lies in the possibility of a theoretical deepening on the subject, considering that the mathematical knowledge is constituted from the interpretation of the student reader, as well as from the its connection with the world around it, which is of great relevance to interdisciplinary practice. Analyzing the conceptions of the investigated teachers, it was identified that, although they recognize the importance of the use of texts for the teaching of mathematical content, and report that they use texts based on the ENEM, they are still rooted in content methodologies evidencing a marked lack in meaning of a more effective practice of using texts in Mathematics classes.
