Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10408This paper presents an experience report developed by me, as a teaching assistant, during the process of school inclusion for a nonverbal student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), enrolled in Kindergarten I of a private school. The main objective is to highlight the relevance of the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) as a pedagogical and legal instrument capable of promoting personalized instruction, respecting the student's unique characteristics. The experience was built on daily observations and the implementation of adapted pedagogical practices, which favored significant advances in the student's development, especially in visual recognition and social interactions. This is a qualitative, descriptive study, based on theoretical frameworks and official documents guiding Early Childhood Education.
