When going through the process of cognitive development, the subject, the individual, has contact with solid experiences that aim to build a social being. Piaget was based on the phenomenon of abstract, mental, logical thinking, independent of human action on things and, consequently, scientifically, on what he called Genetic Epistemology. Vygotsky, who had a training and academic life totally focused on the arts and human sciences, stood out for his study of aesthetics and literature, researched processes of change in the history of the subject, seeking historical psychology, based on historical materialism. dialectic. In such a way, both were concerned with genetic, social and psychological issues to understand how cognitive development occurred.
