Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8981This article develops and reflects about the possibility of educational practices that involves the local knowledge about medicinal herbs as a support to development of writing, reading and oral communication skills. This study is mainly based on the theoretical framework of Dolz, Noverraz and Schneuwly (2004) and Marcuschi (2005), that give suppport in the proposal of a didactic sequence to work this knowledge using the interview genre. Thus, this study was motivated by some issues, such as the erasure of traditional knowledge and the low valorization of this theme in the teaching-learning process of students in municipal schools of Tracuateua-PA. Therefore, this study's importance is in promoting the appreciation of traditional knowledge that is being lost over time. Thus, it can be observed that the interview genre is a pedagogical tool with great potential for the development of reading and writing skills, as well as oral communication skills.
