Employing a bibliographic research methodology, it develops a teaching proposal for Machado de Assis’s novel Esaú e Jacó, grounded in playful education and literary literacy, linked to intertextuality and comparative literature. The aim is to assist literature professionals in carrying out more effective teaching practices.
