Based on the evidence produced by extension activities through paleographic transcription, this study aims to demonstrate the potential of documentation as an informational source for the social memory of Pará. The research adopted an exploratory methodology, of a qualitative-quantative nature study, structured from a literature review of scientific articles related to Paleography, transcription standards, and the history of the Memory Center of Amazonia, using databases such as Scientific Electronic Library Online, Google Scholar, and Information Science Databases. The results indicate that the information contained in the proceedings is of historical relevance, transcending the strictly legal nature of the processes, as they reflect the social, political, and economic aspects of the periods analyzed.
