Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8641The design and construction of an electromechanical press for pressing cassava dough involves several steps such as the detailed development of the project including technical drawing, computerized static analysis and sizing calculations of the mechanical and electrical components. The construction and assembly of the mechanical components carried out according to what was developed in the project, through the mixing of new and used materials, but without compromising the functionality of the equipment. And the prototype tests carried out with the raw material of cassava flour (dough), evaluating the efficiency in drying the cassava dough and the uniformity of the final product, analyzing the results of the performance tests. Its main objective is to develop equipment to improve this process, in relation to manual pressing models for the production of cassava flour, such as the tipiti and artisanal presses, aiming at more efficiency in production and product quality. The search engine had as its starting point a manual press model already used in the region, which uses a hydraulic jack of the bottle type in the application of the pressing load. The tests were decisive for the validation of the functionality and efficiency of the prototype.
