For this, the São Francisco de Assis primary school was chosen, which already has activities related to the reading room. The work is developed through bibliographical research, based on some authors of the area, who approach on the subject in question, because by making use of comics in the reading room the student acquires a development of proficient reading. The use of Comic Books allows the reader to understand and interpret independently the texts read and leads the teacher to realize the relevance of developing independent, critical and reflexive readers.
