This specific study focused on carrying out statistical analysis of rainfall for the period 2009 to 2022, based on data collected by the respected National Water and Sanitation Agency (ANA). To investigate the presence of trends in the time series, the Mann-Kendall test was used, a widely recognized method for evaluations of this type. The results obtained revealed an average annual increase of 0.34 millimeters in rainfall, indicating a positive and growing trend in the volume of rainfall in the municipality under study. This finding emphasizes the pressing need to closely monitor changes in rainfall patterns, given their crucial influence on environmental dynamics and on devising strategies for adapting to and mitigating the risks associated with climate variations.
