Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9891This study aims to analyze the Quilombola Political-Pedagogical Project (QPPP) of the Petronília do Carmo Municipal Elementary School, located in the quilombola community of Itamoari, in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, in northeastern Pará, in light of the principles of Quilombola School Education. The research adopts a qualitative approach, based on documentary analysis of the QPPP and on legal and theoretical frameworks related to Quilombola School Education. As methodological procedures, a systematic reading of the institutional document was conducted, articulated with the National Curriculum Guidelines for Quilombola School Education and specialized literature on quilombola identity, territory, and culture. The results show that the QPPP values quilombola identity, ancestry, traditional knowledge, territory, and community participation, demonstrating alignment with the National Curriculum Guidelines for Quilombola School Education. However, contradictions were identified regarding the absence of theoretical references by Black scholars, the insufficient systematization of specific pedagogical practices, and the school’s structural limitations, such as the shortage of teachers and the challenges arising from multigrade classes.
