Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9774This work presents an academic portfolio that brings together formative experiences deve loped throughout the Mathematics Teacher Education program at the Federal University of Pará, with a focus on mathematical modeling, experimentation, and contextualization as pedagogical strategies for teaching applied mathematics. The research adopts a qua litative, descriptive, and memorialist approach, based on the analysis of three academic productions that integrate theory, practice, and the use of digital technologies. The studies address the application of mathematical modeling in different contexts: the epidemiologi cal analysis of varicella in the State of Pará, the reproduction of Eratosthenes’ historical experiment to calculate the Earth’s circumference, and the validation of the diffusion equation through computer vision and a low-cost experiment. The results indicate that mathematical modeling, combined with experimentation and contextualization, promotes meaningful learning, encourages student protagonism, and contributes to the critical and investigative formation of future mathematics teachers.
