Works such as Turma da Mônica, superhero comics, and Japanese manga show that comics differ from other literary genres, engaging readers in a unique way. In school, few peers used comics in assignments, often fearing teacher rejection. At university, I realized that comics can be valuable pedagogical resources in literacy and learning processes. They promote motivation, critical reading, text production, and meaningful learning by integrating text, images, and popular culture. Practical projects, such as Escritores da Amizade, demonstrate student inclusion and authorship.
