The present work deals with the importance of the memories for the construction of the teaching practice and with this I also reflected on the responsibility of being a teacher in society. For the accomplishment of this work my personal approach was used, reporting important moments of my life, from childhood to university entrance. It is also the approach of several authors who base this theoretical framework, emphasizing the importance of memory in the construction of character, teaching difficulties, the challenges of professionals in the face of new technologies and an approach on LIBRAS (LINGUA BRASILEIRA DE SINAIS).
