It had its Register as an Intangible Heritage held in 2004. The spectacle Auto do Círio, created in 1993 by teachers of the Federal University of Pará as a form of occupation the streets of Cidade Velha honoring Nossa Senhora de Nazaré through art; It is already part of the cultural agenda of the Círio festivities, being known for being a cultural event that attracts thousands of people on the friday that precedes the main procession: Círio de Nazaré.
