Your catchment, when realized by inadequate techniques of wells constructions, for an example, fragilize the ground and increase the risk to contamination of the water from the aquifers. The Northeast of Pará is the region on the Brazilian North which is more susceptible to contamination by pesticides and nutrients, due to the advances of many monocultures, with emphasis on soybean and citric plantations. On the present study, the aim was to evaluate, in a preliminary way, the quality of the underground waters from the geological formations Pós-Barreiras, Barreiras and Pirabas, from the concentrations of the dissolved anions and the basic physicochemical parameters, on the city of Bragança, Capitão Poço and Salinópolis, Northeast of Pará. The obtained data were compared with the Maximum Value Permitted (MVP) established by the CONAMA Resolution nº 396/2008, to evaluate the quality of the underground water for human consumption. The concentration of the dissolved anions (Cl-, F-, PO3-4, NO-3 and SO2-4) were determined by ion chromatography. The basic physicochemical parameters were obtained with a Multiparameter Analyzer for Electrical Conductivity (EC), pH, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and Temperature. The results indicated that the underground waters from the sampling points of the Northeast of Pará had, in general, a slightly acid pH varying in 3.25 to 7,91 (this maximum was a punctual result), as the low concentration of TDS (4 to 18 mg/L) and EC (70 to 150 µS/cm). The ionic component indicated that the sampling points has, also, a low anionic concentration (< MVP), where the Cl- showed concentrations that varied in 2,80 to 23,49 mg/L, F- varied in 0,28 to 0,37 mg/L, NO-3 varied in 0,44 to 28,12 mg/L, SO2-4 varied in 0,11 to 18,19 mg/L, and PO3-4</sub was below the detection limit of the analytical method used. So, it was concluded that, according to the investigated parameters, all of the sampling points were within the quality standard established by the CONAMA Resolution nº 396/2008, although some of the points concentration can indicate anthropic influence under the water body, especially on the city of Bragança, which has the biggest anthropic pressure on the ground.Acesso AbertoQualidade da ÁguaÁguas subterrâneasBragança - PACapitão Poço - PASalinópolis - PAPará - EstadoCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::OCEANOGRAFIA::OCEANOGRAFIA QUIMICAComposição aniônica e parâmetros físico-químicos de águas subterrâneas: subsídios à gestão ambiental do Nordeste ParaenseTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
