Water samples were collected during the rainy season (february) and dry season (november), in points considered below strong anthropic action and others away from human interference. Were certain basic hydrochemical parameters (pH, Eh, electrical conductivity, salinity and temperature) in situ from a multiparameter analyzer. Concentrations of chlorophylls (a, b, c1 + c2) and cholrophylls degradation products (pheophytin-a and chlorins) were obtained by the spectrophotometric method described by Arar (1997). The suspended particulate matter (SPM) and its organic and inorganic fractions were measured by the gravimetric technique and dissolved inorganic phosphate (DIP) was determined by spectrophotometry, both described in Grasshoff et al. (1983). The pH ranged from 5.49 to 7.23, the highest values occurred in the less rainy period, due to penetration of saline waters. The Eh was in the range of -2 to 83 mV, the electrical conductivity showed values from 4.9 to 11,520 mS/cm, and salinity from 0 to 6.6, all with clear seasonality, being influenced by the entry of marine waters. The temperature ranged between 28.5 and 32.1 °C, typical values of equatorial estuaries. The SPM-total obtained was 1.48 to 57.92 mg L-1, the organic fraction ranged from 0.56 to 17.92 mg L-1 and inorganic 0.92 to 45.75 mg L-1. The concentrations of chlorophyll a, b, c1 + c2 ranged from 0.47 to 18.78, from 7.57 to 40.74, from 14.74 to 52.30 mg m-3, respectively. The DIP was in the range 1.31 to 2.82 mol L-1. High concentrations of chlorophyll and DIP characterized as eutrophic environment with strong anthropogenic influence, the pheophytin-a it ranged from 72.09 to 289.70 mg m-3. The investigation of these parameters is important because they serve as a database to monitor and contribute to a better understanding of the processes occurring in the environmentAcesso AbertoEstuário GuajaráEstado tróficoClorofilaBelém - PACNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::OCEANOGRAFIAInvestigação do estado trófico de um sistema estuarino amazônico (Pará, Brasil) sob influência antrópicaTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
