Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8406The production of capitalist cities based on hegemonic socio-economic practices and anthropocentric logic results in a false dichotomy between urban and nature. This generates inequalities and harmful socio-environmental conditions for peripheral populations. In impoverished communities on the periphery of capitalism, such as Amazonian cities, the negative impacts of climate change are disproportionately greater, creating processes of socio environmental injustice. This research addresses the importance of acknowledging traditional landscape management repertoires - community practices that are not accepted in the formal technical repertoire, in search of solutions for corridors formed by rivers and vegetation in the Belém Metropolitan Region. It is based on a literature review on the convergence between urbanization and nature, urban ecology studies, and the formulation of sustainable urban drainage, and looks at two study areas: the São Joaquim Igarapé, which belongs to the Una Basin, and the Sapucajuba Igarapé, which belongs to the Tucunduba Basin. In the first case, there is a social organization and revegetation of a deforested area as resistance to the macro-drainage project of the 1990s. The second case is a potential space for designing a pilot action plan to tackle climate change, due to its preservation conditions and location within UFPA. The result of the study is the proposal of an agenda based on four axes: sanitation, drainage, flows and uses, exemplified by a micro-zoning for the Igarapé do Sapucajuba region. The conclusion is that there are resistant native repertoires in the city and that they can support the actions of urban planners in adapting to the effects of climate change.
