Thus , the research is justified by the need to better understand the function and importance of Eco points sensitization and awareness of the social formation , promoting equitable and sustainable development of the environment. It is approached through the text , the importance of sustainable development envisaged in the deployment of eco-points as fundamental proposal for resolving the correct bins in schools and other public spaces . Considering that in many Brazilian states that adopt this model collection were positive to the Ecoponto used as a solution to problems caused by inappropriate waste accumulation of Urban Waste . Within this assumption the methodology adopted to discuss the subject has with the bibliographic foundation in major Brazilian magazines , Internet articles , the National Curriculum , the National Policy on Solid Waste and authors like Enrique Leff , Guimarães , Moacir Gadotti , Mark Reigota , Calvacante , Leornardo Boff , Demarjovic , Calderone , among others that address environmental issues . In this sense , the research problem arises involving the proper management of Solid Waste ( RS ) that generate environmental concerns before the war lived in the XXI Century . Such as civic education based on the principles of eco - citizenship is able to change the behavioral patterns of society to ensure biodiversity and life on the planet ? How and why Ecopontos contribute to training and better ecological management of solid residues contributing to the social and environmental well-being ? Thus , as proposed to solve these environmental problems such as greenhouse effect , global warming , destruction of the ozone layer among others , the first initiatives would Selective Collection of garbage in the context of Sustainable Education and recycling that represent key factors to mitigate this problem mainly the case of waste of renewable and non- renewable . However , to better understand this issue , addressing the question of waste as a social problem , its conceptual and historical goals of environmental education , its historical national, international , the Tbilisi Conference , the Conference eco -92 and Agenda 21 . Give up yet emphasis on environmental education and national history , Creation of the Brazilian Institute of Environment , waste and its historical context , technological advancement , Citizenship and garbage . Therefore , we discuss the development of environmental education and possible goals for solving the waste problems having as main objectives to take into account the realities ecological, economic and social needs of each society whose knowledge helps individuals and social groups acquire an awareness health risks that they may be caused due to not waste treatment which actually contributes significantly to the conservation of the environment in which it lives and preventing possible damage caused by the imbalance of the natural environment . Thus , the results of this study corroborate the idea that it is possible the stable relationship between man and nature in a sustainable manner and that the use of points Selective Garbage Collection diminish considerably the various problems arising from the incorrect disposal of Municipal Solid Waste in the process as public squares , schools , streets and other .
