This article aims to report a bibliotherapy experience conducted with the elderly. The research has a qualitative approach of an applied nature and the method used was action research. The study was carried out with the elderly who live in a nursing home in the Metropolitan Region of Belém/PA, through direct observation. During the bibliotherapy sessions it was observed that vision difficulties were a common problem for the participants. Thus, adaptations were made so that everyone could participate in the library activity.
