Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/5858This work aims to analyze the Paes de Carvalho Reservoir in several aspects, not only in its visible, functional, iconographic, and historical structures, but in its symbolic characterstics and the comprehension of these features in the formation of the affective memory of the city of Belém. It is known that many people don’t remember and are aware the Water Tower and its history. Therefore, this work intents to recover part of these memories, reassuring and reinforcing the presence of the Water Tower in the collective memory of the city, since it has already disappeared physically from the city’s landscape.
