The present study had the objective of estimating the prevalence of malocclusions in the deciduous dentition in children of pre-school education in Belém do Pará. Methodology: A total of 294 children from public schools of both sexes were examined. Used a form for data collection. The analysis was carried out by 3 examiners previously calibrated to evaluate overbite, overjet, canine key, crowding, terminal relation of the second deciduous molar, Baume arch and lip seal. Results: It was verified the presence of 71% of some type of malocclusion in the observed children. The most frequent conditions were canine classes I and III, crowding, deep overbite, overjet. Conclusion: There was no association with habits, type of feeding and period of breastfeeding.
