Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9520This study examines the role of pedagogues in non-school environments, focusing on the experience at the Municipal Secretariat of Environment of Acará/PA. The main objective was to analyze the experiences and contributions of a pedagogue working in this context, highlighting possibilities and challenges. The research was qualitative and exploratory- descriptive, using interviews and content analysis as methodological procedures. The findings show that pedagogues, when engaged in administrative and socio-environmental spaces, expand the professional scope of Pedagogy and strengthen environmental education as both public policy and social practice. Their training, combined with interdisciplinary knowledge, enables competencies such as educational mediation, project management, and community mobilization.
