Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8805This Undergraduate Thesis results from research conducted in Youth and Adult Education (EJA) classes in the municipality of Tracuateua, State of Pará, on learning assessment and the evaluative practices developed by teachers in Basic Education. The main objective was to analyze how assessments were applied in EJA classes, considering the perspectives of both teachers and students. The research adopted a qualitative approach, grounded in bibliographic review and fieldwork, carried out through semi-structured interviews with teachers and students from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stages. The findings revealed that, although assessments still include tests, written assignments, and research projects, there is a growing movement among teachers to design assessments that recognize the student as an active subject in the evaluative process. The students’ statements showed that care is an integral part of this process, meaning that teachers value their knowledge and worldviews.
