Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10260The changes and transformations that technological advances have caused in different sectors of society and in people's lives, have repercussions on the emergence of various conceptions and reflections about it. In view of this, the present work seeks to respond to the following concern: how the textbooks approved in the National Textbook Program (PNLD) have proposed the use of ICTs in the teaching and learning process, that representations about technology have been built in textbooks. To reach a conclusion, a theoretical framework was constructed based on the theme, bringing focus on the textbook, advantages and disadvantages on the use of technology, perspectives according to BNCC and an analysis in the mathematics book of the 7th year of elementary school. As results of the analysis of the collection book the conquest of mathematics, it was identified in particular five categories were named that identify the use and indication of THEIC present in the book: (a) technology as a didactic resource, (b) technology as an aid in the development of the teaching and learning process, (c) technology as an innovation strategy, (d) as an improvement of the teaching activity and (e) as a use for instructional purposes.
