Most of these contents lead to a methodology, by teachers, which aims to explore the practical applicability of mathematical concepts in problem situations related to socio cultural experiences, in which students are inserted, ie, there is a need of literacy in mathematics from pedagogical activities that dialogue with the lived reality. This complex work of relating social practices as the goal of developing mental skills aims at a result that goes beyond schooling: a formation for these students to become participatory and conscious agents in social relations. Nevertheless, this research shows how the sociocultural practices are presented in a school in the field of Bragança - PA in a sixth grade elementary school class. At the same time, it establishes interpretations and conceptual dialogues that would allow a greater understanding of the relevance of the use of sociocultural practices and their interfaces with numbering, by provoking discussions about numbering in the rural school, exploring how it combines its methodology with sociocultural practices.
