The methodology with a qualitative approach, in the form of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the elaboration of research questions, varieties of sources, definition of inclusion and exclusion criteria and analysis of the articles found. Initially, the articles included in the research contained the keywords Literacy, play and elementary education in the Scielo, Google Scholar and Education Events repositories. Secondly, the research was delimited, considering 9 articles for analysis in the initial years of elementary school. The data obtained indicates that research that considers playful aspects of literacy in elementary school is still recent and few in number.
