Fake news, news information that does not represent reality, has become a recurring problem for society, mainly due to its sensationalist and appealing characteristics, making the number of false news sharing even greater. The consequences of spreading false news can be irreparable, harming those involved, in addition to the potential to end reputations, incite violence and discrimination and even interfere with democracy. In this way, the librarianship professional has the duty to meet the informational need of the user of the information unit in which he works so that it is possible to carry out the fight against fake news. Considering this context, this study aimed to understand the multiple discourses present in the scientific literature on the role of library professionals in the face of fake news. For this, an integrative literature review was carried out in the following databases: CAPES, BDTD and Google Scholar. The research sample consisted of 21 studies, which were analyzed based on Bardin's Content Analysis (CA) (2016).
