Acesso em:.http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/78It addresses the importance and contribution of scientific events to the academic training of undergraduate students of the Librarianship course of the Federal University of Pará, as well as the participation of these in the events and the significant relevance of scientific communication for the advancement of science. It presents data gathered through questionnaires, with open and closed questions, delivered to students from the years 2012 to 2016. The scientific events studied in this research are: National Meeting of students of Library Science, Documentation, Science and Information Management - ENEBD; Regional Meeting of Librarianship, Documentation, Science and Information Management students - EREBD. It identifies the origin, the issues, the theme, the locale and the frequency with which these events occur, as well as show how they happen, the activities carried out, the particularities and what the students can expect from these events. It shows that the events contribute positively in the practice and experience of their profession.
