Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9287This study presents a comparative spatial analysis of irregular waste disposal sites in the municipalities of Belém, Ananindeua, and Marituba, in the state of Pará, Brazil. The research was based on data collected from reliable news reports published between 2022 and 2025, including sources such as “O Diário do Pará”, “Agência Cenarium”, “O Liberal”, and “G1”. The information was organized in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, including the fields “id,” “title,” “site,” “date,” “municipality,” “district,” “address,” “typology,” “link,” “latitude,” and “longitude.” Geographic coordinates were obtained through Google Earth Pro, based on the addresses and districts provided, enabling the georeferencing of irregular disposal sites. In total, 40 points were identified. The data were processed using QGIS software (version 3.40), generating choropleth thematic maps for each municipality.
