Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/6776This work focuses on the study of the profile of the sephardic jew portrayed in the chronical “Brasil: terra da promissão” present in the book Papéis 15 Revista A Palavrada (ISSN 2358-0526), 21, jan-jun, p. 3-15, 2022 (1999) by Sultana Levy Rosenblatt. The Belenese writer belonged to a traditional Jewish family and dedicated herself to write short stories, chronicles and novels. Among these texts is the chronicle Brasil, terra da promissão, which will be the subject of the research. This work portrays the paths of struggle and conquest of the Jewish immigrants that from the end of the 19th century, arrived in the Amazon in seek of religious freedom and attracted by the riches of the region, went through.
