The study presents concepts and solutions from architecture and other fields of knowledge that aim to contribute to medical care and the well-being of patients in these care settings. It also analyzes the design principles of architect João Filgueiras Lima, applied to the Sarah Kubustschek Hospital Network. In this sense, this academic work explores beyond the technical and legal issues involved in the design of this building typology, concepts that can be incorporated into the design tools already used by architects and urban planners, creating more therapeutic environments that can influence the healing process of patients and thus improve the dynamics of hospitalizations.
