Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7887This article derives from research carried out with children in the 3rd and 4th years of the Early Years of a public school on the outskirts of Castanhal/PA, focusing on the theme of food. Having the objective of providing visibility to children's knowledge on the topic of food. The theoretical foundation follows the contributions of the Sociology of Childhood, with its emphasis on the protagonism of children. The article adopts a qualitative approach, configuring itself as exploratory research, carried out through conversation circles, recording classes in a field diary, storytelling with the production of drawings and letters. In the results, we observed aspects of the influence of the food industry on children's statements when they indicate the brand names of the products they consume, such as Todinho, Orion and others. The children's statements also showed certain evidence of the normalization of violent speeches during meals, among others.
