Its purpose is to offer a varied range of sound collections and acting to promote the audiovisual culture in the North region. Among its collections, the vinyl disc is the media with the highest number of copies. In this way, the main objective of this work is to analyze the conservation and preservation techniques and activities applied by Fonoteca. For this, a case study was carried out, which is configured in a field visit and bibliographic review. As a result, it was possible to establish that Fonoteca carries out important preservation and conservation practices although some areas could be improved.
