Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9926This study is the result of the experience as a performer-creator in the Cia de Dança Caminhos, a dance group formed by former students of the social project Propaz, located in the outskirts of Belém. It aims to analyze the subjectivities of the Black and peripheral dancing body based on choreographic experiences promoted by the company. Among the specific objectives are: to list the social, political, and cultural impacts caused by Black and peripheral dancing bodies in contemporary dance festivals; to highlight contemporary dance as an important tool for reflection and social inclusion; and to point out the subjectivities of the dancing body by analyzing narratives connected to the works presented by the group. Of a qualitative nature and under the perspective of the participant-researcher, the methodology is based on autoethnography, utilizing memory, photographs, questionnaires, and interviews conducted with members of the dance group. The theoretical foundation dialogues with the thoughts of Bertolino (2024), Castro (2025), Lepecki (2012), Lima (2018), Louppe (2012), Nascimento (2016), Oliveira (2020), and Sodré (2019).
