Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10159This Final Work for the Undergratuation, entitled Professional Profile and Critical Training of Social Workers: Contribution of FACSS – Breves in Marajó, aimed to understand how the teaching, research, and extension strategies adopted by FACSS-Breves/UFPA contribute to the training of social workers with a professional profile aligned with the Ethical-Political Project of Social Work. The methodological procedure included a qualitative and quantitative approach, supported by bibliographic review and field research, using semi-structured interviews with FACSS graduates working as social workers or with some professional experience in the field. Data analysis was based on historical-dialectical materialism, enabling an understanding of the studied object from the perspective of social life reproduction under the current capitalist system, considering its multiple determinations. In this context, professional training in Social Work is linked to a societal project and a Professional Ethical-Political Project, aimed at strengthening and defending the rights of the working class, which survives by selling its labor power to the capitalist system, which expropriates its human dignity while advocating for a new societal order. Through its Pedagogical Course Project (PPC), aligned with the Ethical-Political Project of Social Work (PEPSS), FACSS-Breves contributes to the training of social workers with theoretical-methodological, ethical-political, and technical-operational proficiency, enabling them to critically engage both in their local contexts and in other regions. This training fosters the identification of the multiple determinations of the social question and critical interventions addressing them, strengthening, defending, and consolidating the principles and guidelines of the PEPSS.
