Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8865This study analyzed the literacy and literacy process in a first-grade elementary school class through a teaching sequence based on the story Little Red Riding Hood. Conducted using a qualitative approach, its overall objective was to analyze the pedagogical possibilities of using playful activities in the development of literacy and literacy. Specifically, it sought to investigate how teachers can integrate play into pedagogical planning, reflect on its contribution to the development of reading and writing, and understand the influences of these practices based on the results of the diagnosis and the planning of activities resulting from these data. Thus, based on an initial diagnosis, it was possible to plan and apply the sequence, during which it was observed that familiarity with the narrative favored the active participation of students, stimulating oral expression, understanding of the plot, and the construction of hypotheses about writing. The analysis of the results, in light of Carvalho (2005), Vygotsky (1991), Soares (2004), Pereira and Bonfim (2015), highlighted the importance of teacher mediation, flexible planning, and the use of contextualized playful strategies capable of addressing the diversity of the class and promoting meaningful learning.
