Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/3079The Serra Pelada region is in the context of the Carajás Domain in the Carajás Province and has a complex geological structure. The deformational, hydrothermal and metamorphic processes modified several sedimentary successions, preventing definitions regarding stratigraphic correlations throughout the province. Studies should be carried out to discuss the sedimentary units present in the area, including to facilitate local research on diagenetic sequences of the domain. The present work aims to elaborate a diagenetic sequence for the carbonatic – silicytic succession of the Serra Pelada region, in Carajás Province, through the description of the FD 215 drillhole and to determine the provenance of the quartz grains of the locality through texture analyzes obtained through the cathodoluminescence technique. In addition, extensive bibliographic survey, macro / microscopic petrography of samples, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy through dispersive energy spectroscopy (SEM EDS) were performed to analyze mineral samples and textures of diagenetic constituents. The petrographic description classified the lithotypes into metaquartzarenite and calcitic and dolomitic metalimestone. The XRD and SEM-EDS analyzes indicated quartz, dolomite and calcite being the main minerals in the core composition. The CL for provenance analysis directed the quartz grains in the metamorphic / hydrothermal perspective. Diagenetic evolution showed mesodiagenesis with calcitic, dolomitic and punctual iron oxide-hydroxide cementation processes, in addition to the indication of fluids by hydrothermalism, from the fracturing of the rock (presence of siliceous and dolomitic veins) and ankimetamorphism stage. The addition of hydrothermal fluids coupled with ankimetamorphism in the system may indicate a change in quartz grain arrangement, carbonate cementation, presence of chlorite and talc minerals and foliation arrangement.Acesso AbertoDomínio CarajásRochas metassedimentaresSucessão carbonática - SiliciclásticaSerra PeladaCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIAS::GEOLOGIAEvolução diagenética da sucessão siliciclástica-carbonática Neo- Arqueana da região de Serra Pelada, Província CarajásTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
