However, in addition to the greater surgical morbidity, postoperative complications in the palatal donor area (ADP) can occur and it is important that the professional has knowledge of strategies to prevent these complications, as well as ways to approach them to resolve morbidities and complications. when these occur. Objective: to review the literature regarding the use of platelet aggregates of the type Platelet and Leukocyte Rich Fibrin (L-PRF) and Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin (I-PRF) in Periodontology and report a clinical case where the combined use of L-PRF and I-PRF in the treatment of palatal necrosis. Case report: Patient complaining of pain for 20 days. Blood samples from the patient were collected in tubes to obtain L-PRF, and in a tube without additives to obtain I-PRF. The centrifugation of the tubes varied between 1300 and 2700 rpm. The I-PRF was aspirated from the tube using a syringe with a sterile needle and injected into the lesion, while the L-PRF was formed into membranes. After seven days, the patient showed complete closure of the wound, with healthy tissue, without inflammation or pain. It is concluded that L-PRF and I-PRF were effective in promoting rapid and safe healing, suggesting their potential as less invasive alternatives for the treatment of necrotic lesions. Additional studies are recommended to confirm the findings and standardize application protocols, expanding its use in dentistry and regenerative medicine.
