Visits to the activities carried out by the librarian, editor and other specialists involved in the publishing of books, as well as the stages in which the editorial process is divided, the norms established by the Brazilian Association of Technical Norms, for standardization of the books, the rights that the authors Have on the work it produces. Warns the fact that without a qualified professional to enforce standards, the error would be eminent. The partnership between the two professionals, librarian and publisher, results in the production of good books for readers. It emphasizes that in front of several abilities of the librarian, it is relevant to emphasize the service of normalization, cataloging, indexing, among others, carried out by the librarian. He notes that the librarian is primarily responsible for standardizing books.
