The article was presented at the XIII National Conference on Communications, Networks, and Security (ENCOM), held at the Federal Institute of Pará (IFPA) in the city of Belém/PA. Three microstrip antennas were designed in different scenarios: a conventional rectangular patch antenna without slots, an antenna with one slot, and an antenna with two slots in the radiating element. The latter was capable of covering the frequency bands 3.51 GHz/3.46 GHz, 3.51 GHz/3.44 GHz, 3.48 GHz/3.41 GHz, and 4.77 GHz/4.73 GHz, with simulated/measured S11 values ≤ -10 dB, respectively. The antennas were printed on a low-cost FR4 fiberglass substrate with dimensions of 40×40×1.5 mm³, a relative permittivity of 4.4, and a loss tangent of 0.02, and were fed by a microstrip line with an input impedance of 50 Ω. The numerical characterization was performed using the student version of the Ansys Electronics Desktop (HFSS) software. Then, the antenna was fabricated using the etching process with ferric chloride solution and subsequently characterized experimentally using the low-cost portable vector network analyzer, LiteVNA-64, with both characterizations in the frequency range from 2.0 to 5.0 GHz. The numerical and experimental results showed good agreement, indicating potential for applications in communication systems.Acesso AbertoAntena em microfitaBaixo custoFR4LiteVNA-64Microstrip antennaLow costCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA ELETRICA::TELECOMUNICACOES::TEORIA ELETROMAGNETICA, MICROONDAS, PROPAGACAO DE ONDAS, ANTENASPrimeiras medições em antenas em microfita realizadas no Campus de Tucuruí UFPAFirst measurements of microstrip antennas conducted at the Tucuruí UFPA CampusTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
