Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9628In the civil construction sector, there is a high consumption of natural resources, accompanied by the large-scale generation of waste, such as construction and demolition waste. Given this scenario, it is essential to adopt sustainable alternatives that define the destination of these materials, among which is the production of recycled aggregates, used in the incorporation of cementitious materials (concrete and mortars), promoting a more sustainable scenario in civil construction. In this sense, the present work aims to evaluate the technical feasibility and eco-efficiency of cement based mortar mixes with recycled sand, based on the requirements of consistency and density in the fresh state, as well as density, capillary absorption, and compressive and tensile strength in the hardened state, thus analyzing the effect of the partial substitution of natural fine aggregate with recycled fine aggregate in proportions of 10%, 20%, and 30%. For this purpose, mixes in the proportions 1:6, 1:7, and 1:8 by volume will be tested. The results showed that the technical feasibility of using recycled sand depends on the dosage used, as there were limitations in compressive strength that make the use of the mortar in a 1:8 ratio unfeasible for all substitution levels. For the 1:7 ratio, levels above 10% did not meet the requirements, unlike the 1:6 ratio, which obtained approval at all substitution levels, thus reconciling sustainability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
